Booking Process
When you submit a booking request through our website, we forward your reservation details to one of our trusted local rental partners. The rental agreement is finalized directly between you and the selected rental company. GoCar Austria acts as a facilitating platform and does not operate vehicles directly.
Identification & Driver Requirements
To rent a car, you must present a valid driving license and passport or national ID at the time of vehicle pickup. Some rental partners may require an International Driving Permit depending on the country your license was issued in.
Deposit and Payment
Deposit amounts vary depending on the car category and insurance coverage. Low deposit options are available with many of our partners. Payment methods (credit card, debit card, or cash) depend on the rental provider’s policy. Full details are shown during the booking process or confirmed by the provider.
Insurance Coverage
Basic insurance is typically included. Additional insurance options (such as full coverage or reduced excess) may be offered at pickup. Insurance terms and conditions are defined by the rental partner and may vary based on vehicle type, location, and season.
Pickup & Return
Vehicles may be collected at airports, city offices, hotels, or delivery points depending on availability. The car must be returned at the agreed time and location. Late returns may result in additional charges according to the provider’s policy.
Fuel Policy
Fuel policy is determined by the rental provider. Common policies include “full-to-full” or “same-to-same.” Please check and confirm the policy during pickup to avoid additional charges.
Modifications & Cancellations
Many bookings include free cancellation. Cancellation terms depend on the rental provider and the time remaining before pickup. To modify or cancel a reservation, please contact support or the rental provider as indicated in your confirmation email.
Liability
GoCar Austria is a booking platform and does not operate rental vehicles. Vehicle condition, insurance handling, deposit processing, and all operational services are the responsibility of the rental partner. Any claims, disputes, or damage assessments must be resolved directly with the rental company providing the vehicle.
